Rose White

Having initially trained to support others through nutritional coaching. My own experiences led me to want to find a way support others to heal their relationship with food. My approach combines nutrition expertise, behavioural change, dietary and intuitive eating coaching, to support disordered and eating disorder recovery.

I take regular supervision with a qualified and experienced therapist working in this field, and my work is inclusive and trauma informed.

I may not be able to see you if you are too underweight; this is for safety reasons. If you have a diagnosed eating disorder, I may be required to work alongside your therapist as part of a wider team.

My why?

Lived experience of eating disorder recovery.

There was a long time when food didn’t mean freedom to live my life fully. It was the subject of anxiety and angst. Trawling menus for the ‘healthiest’ option. Compensating the next day by eating less or differently. Giving certain foods a moral value, demonising others. It quite frankly sucked the joy out of the act of eating, planning, cooking, sharing and entertaining.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I can say with deep deep honesty that healing my relationship with food gave me back so much more than food. It gave me evenings of love and laughter with friends. It has given me memories, salty chips and ice cream eaten with legs swinging from harbour sides. It gave me Sunday lunches within the sacred familiarity of family. It gave me joy, experiences, comfort, people, love, the very things that bring meaning to my life...⁣I wish the same for you.

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

I do not offer any diagnosis of health conditions or attempt to 'treat' any health conditions or symptoms through nutrition and should not do so during the consultation, however I may suggest foods and lifestyle changes to help improve the functioning of different systems of the body and improve health and wellbeing in general.

I adhere to the UK Health Coaches Association Scope of Practice https://www.ukhealthcoaches.com/scope-of-practice
